VMPYR is a goth/dreampop band that crawled out of crypts beneath Los Angeles. Pulling inspiration from classic acts like The Cure and Talking Heads as well as modern groups like Urban Heat and Fontaines D.C., these creatures of the night serve their post-punk music alongside an invitation to indulge in hedonistic pleasure and righteous indignation in equal measure.

Bachovic’s striking guitar riffs set the pace for the band’s exploration of new musick: confident in both meditative nostalgia and frenetic passion. He is supported by Larkin’s tasteful countermelodies on the bass and delicate touch in production. Together, they highlight Cordova’s powerful lyrics, delivered with sacred urgency and revolving around love, loss, and lust, which prove that their heart still beats strongly, even if the blood it pumps isn’t necessarily their own.
